Student and Ambassador for The Hadley School for the Blind

Steve Beres manages the Service Member and Veterans Affairs Program for Regions Bank.

Steve joined Regions in 2013 as the Service Member and Veterans Affairs Manager following a career in the health care field working with service members and veterans with disabilities.

Steve served in the United States Army as a Special Operations Officer with numerous combat tours in the Middle East retiring in 2004. He is a member of several veteran organizations and has served on the National Board of Directors for several of these organizations. He has provided testimony before both the U.S. Senate and Congress regarding service member and veteran related issues and has served as a consumer reviewer for Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs for the Department of Defense.

Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Mount Senario College, a Master’s Degree in Education from Hartford University, a Master’s Degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy from Western Michigan University, and a Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy from Hartford University.

Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lighthouse Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.

He has been a student and ambassador for The Hadley School for the Blind, taking numerous businesses and technology courses. He credits Hadley with helping him to manage his vision loss following his combat experience.
