Tracie Frederick works in the Development Office at North Shore Country Day. She is a sponsor of the Youth Philanthropy Board (YPB). This group of seniors from area schools - Regina, Loyola, North Shore Country Day, and Roycemore - is learning about the art and science of philanthropy and making a direct impact in the North Shore community. This inaugural senior cohort gave away $10,000 in grants last year and is currently working to raise money for the junior cohort so they can give money away to area non-profits this year. They meet once a month, discussing issues from how to run a nonprofit organization to how to write appeals for grants. Not only have they been able to learn about the work behind the scenes of philanthropy, but they have been able to apply these concepts in our communities.

This year is the 100th anniversary for both the Winnetka/Northfield and the Wilmette Rotary Clubs.  The two Clubs will celebrate together on the evening of June 20th at the Winnetka Community House. That night both Clubs will also install their respective teams of co-presidents for the 2024-2025 Rotary year.
