There were 24 members and 3 guests present - Elaine Clemens from Evanston Lighthouse Club, Anna Helfman from New Trier Interact Club and Pat Brady, John Ford’s new associate orthodontist.
The thought of the day was given by John Thomas.
There were two birthdays – David Birkenstein and John Thomas – we sang!
The lunch was arranged by Eric Birkenstein, in absentia, as the caterer was on vacation.
The speaker was Rich Lalley who explained club, district and national Rotary websites and programs available to all members and listing all members.
*There will not be a traditional lunch meeting on September 29th at at WCH, instead the meeting will be held at 5pm with drinks and dinner. In addition, there will be a service opportunity from 12:15 – 1:30pm also on the 29th, for any interested Rotary members to help at the Glencoe Community Garden harvesting their produce for local soup kitchens and shelters. A box lunch will be served for those who attend.
