President Bob led today’s meeting with 10 in-person Rotarians, 2 guests, and 2 speakers.

 

Guests:  From New trier High School, two seniors came to announce their plans to re-activate the New Trier Interact Club.  Ana Hagish is the daughter of a Glenview Sunrise Club member, and Anna Satter is also one of the founding members of the new club which will be approved soon at the school.

 

Speaker:  Linda Monty, the Wellness Director at Limitless Health Wellness spoke to us about Regenerative Medicine and how stem cells can repair the body.  Her office in Chicago offers a procedure that takes about three hours.  The first step is a mini liposuction of the patients Adipose fat cells.  Then you wait about 90 minutes while they spin and prepare your own body cells before they put them back in via an IV drip and injections to the specific body part where you need the concentrated stem cells.  Some cells also go into a ‘cell bank’ where they can be grown for future procedures.  The procedure is not covered by insurance but is available for around $17,000.

 

Fellow Rotarians, please join me in supporting the TMP (Timoulilt Grant Project). We are seeking a matching contribution of $700.00 in order to help the preschool program in the village to put a roof on their small playground to shelter the kids from the sun and rain.  Contributions can be sent directly to the Belvidere Rotary Foundation, as indicated in the flyer, or to the Winnetka Northfield Rotary Foundation. These funds will be sent eventually to the Belvidere Club. Please indicate that the contribution is for TMP.
