Happy Bucks: Rich: Sold his house last Saturday. Heidi is happy that her boss Jim Martin was named Business Person of the Year at a recent industry shindig. Robert is happy to be able to participate remotely in the meeting from his vacation in Hawaii. Liz is happy she enjoyed a recent shopping trip to the Village Treasure House, where she bought a table and chairs. Barb’s niece started a business, ‘Fish Wife,’ which was recently featured on Shark Tank.
Program: Sharon Kaczmarek is the Executive Director of the Village Treasure House, which is a unique consignment warehouse located in Northbrook. In addition to great bargains on upscale and vintage furniture and home décor, the VTH donates profits to local charities. Last year they awarded $305,000 to 15 local charities. Moha’s wife Jean volunteers at the store, and she was at the meeting today to support Sharon and all the great work they both do with this charity.
